The creation and award of the CMCA / ARLA Medal of Merit (Conselho Mundial das Casas dos Açores[World Council of Houses of the Azores] / Assembleia Legislativa da RegiãoAutónoma dos Açores[Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of the Azores]) was decided by the World Council, with the aimof honoringan individual entity (to be awarded annually to individuals who have stood out in the geographical area of influence of the House thatpresides over the aforementioned Council) or a collective entity (to be awarded annually to associations / legal persons that have stood out in the geographical area of influence of the presiding House). A maximum of three medals may be awarded annually.
